Stralsund, DE

From 08/07/2012 to 02/09/2012

The Stralsund Animal Park, or Stralsund Zoo, aims to preserve and breed rare domestic animal breeds, some of which are threatened with extinction. It is an institution for the care of native animal species in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund and the grounds at the city forest in ‘Grünhufe’ cover about 16 hectares.
At the zoo festival with about 2,000 guests, there was a clear interest in the exhibition, with very positive feedback on its content, concept and execution.

Testimonials

Dr. Christoph Langner, Director:
We had around 2,000 guests at the zoo festival and the interest in the exhibition was clear to see.
In terms of content, concept and execution, I feel the exhibition was very successful. Our visitors rather consumed the panels ‘in passing’. At times other than school vacations, we would certainly have provided zoo-educational support for visiting the exhibition. For use by school classes, the panels would then be very productive. Many visitors felt that the text section was too extensive. In a new edition, one should certainly work with interactive elements and three-dimensional exhibits.
